Hi tech coatings bullets. It's not the lead bullet, it's the thin junk candy powder coating paint mixed with keytones solvents that those bullets are coated with that's the junk. The bullets actually look wet and are very slippery. Let air dry 1 hour on aluminum window screen.
I have some cast bullets i'm thinking about coating. Problems with coated or lead bullets usually are reloading errors as ringer stated! Still can't size them to.501 without great effort after coating with hi tek.
The polymer coated bullets can be pushed faster with no leading. You get leading, smoke, it's not resistant or heat resistant to some smokeless powders and it's just not worth the hassle. The process to make our polymer coated bullets is a little slower and time consuming but well worth the effort for those looking for such a product.

The 45 swc don't have coating in the groove or where the nose joins the body of the bullet. This might push me into powdercoating. I've been told you can't resize before using the hi tek coating as it won't adhere.
Squirted a small amount into cup then shook bullets around for 30 seconds until caoated. Haven't done any coating before and i'm looking for one or the other.
