While business expansion might be a dream turning into reality for many small business owners, it is a major step which requires some serious contemplation. Though business expansion means more money, you should not execute it if you cannot afford it or if your business cannot support the impending expansion. While there are no hard or fast rules to determine the right time for a business expansion, there are few points which might help you in taking a right and timely decision:

Initial Step:
Though impulsiveness might have helped you in taking some rightful decisions in the past, it may not necessarily be the right technique. You should not take a decision for expansion until you have attained at least 20% of the market share. Secondly, you need to ascertain that whether the market conditions are suitable for business expansion or not. Such conditions include money, customer issues, working capital, performance of your employees etc. You can include them in your growth markers which can give you a detailed and accurate picture of whether your business can afford expansion or not.

Figuring Out:
Monetary gains are one of the most essential reason behind the market expansion, thus make sure you have enough money to support it initially. Expanding business is one type of huge investment which may or may not generate profits. Thus, ask your accountant to go through your money details and figure out the points of high or low. Furthermore, you can chart down the probable reason of success or downfall and check whether those conditions are likely to arise when you expand the presently established business.

Research Work:
Once you get the basic knowledge about your money flow, do some market research on the competitors. Find out the products they have launched and changes that you can carry out to preside over your domain market. You can compare your business idea with theirs and find out the positive changes that you can carry out in your business. This way you’ll be able to chart down the list of changes that needs to be carried out in your business during expansion. You can do research work on the upcoming market trends such as the pros or cons of providing discounted services etc.

Customer Feedback:
You can consider getting the customers feedback on their reflection on the impending expansion of your firm. For a more accurate result, you can provide the customers with free items upon taking the survey. This way you’ll have the required data with you and can effectively assume the customer response and reaction to the change. While expanding your business, customer base retention is essential and this can only be achieved by keeping up with good quality of services.

Apart from the above mentioned points, it is important to plan the cheapest relocation strategies if you are planning to expand the current work place. In addition, you need to protect the important IT assets along with retaining the customer base. Thus, selecting the right time domain for expansion is essential. You can even hire professional business relocation services to get the relocation executed in less time. It would also be beneficial if you relocate during odd times such as weekends such that your business incurs minimum loss due to time wasted in moving.

Running your own company requires a lot from you, aside from the general supervision of the overall operation, attending business trips are just among your frequent itineraries as an entrepreneur. Business trips are needed to boost one’s business, either as form of advertisement to other colleagues, ways to convince more investors to partner with your company or an outlet to exchange ideas and other information that would benefit your business after each business trip.

For your upcoming business trips to be more successful, pleasant and less stressful on your part, here are 4 guidelines that you can follow:

1. Do advance booking for your travel requirements

This is highly important before confirming with your business associates that you will be present for their annual business conference. Checkout travel agencies bundle promos for advance bookings or frequent travellers like you. They might have other mode of transportations available upon your arrival at the airport. Most reliable travelling agencies have affiliate services from your point of entry to the destination as well as decent accommodation to entice more clients. Making prior arrangements for your travelling needs will not only save you time, money and energy but will also lessen any stress building up your system if you have other important obligations to attend to.

2. Practice proper packing method

Determine how long you need to stay in that place for your business trip and from there decide what type of clothes to bring aside from the vital documents, files and gadgets you need to tag along with you. Verify also the kind of climate that will meet you where the meeting or seminar will take place. For sure you don’t want to arrive to a tropical place completely in a heavily wool coat outfit which totally out-of-place. Ask the airlines about luggage weight requirements so that you won’t go beyond the normal limit. In case you need to stay for a week, make a detailed list of clothes to bring. Bring clothes that you can mix and match to have more room in your luggage for other personal items like toiletries.

3. Plan your stay

If this is your first time to the city, buy a city guidebook or map before arriving to your destination. Remember, you won’t be doing meetings the whole day. There are times that you have free time to tour the place. A little background of what to expect to that new place, its culture and language spoken could be very useful as you roam around the city. Conduct on-line surveys where are the best places to dine, shop or explore. This may help you have an enjoyable stay while combining business appointments with pleasure.

4. Consider sleeping adjustments

There are times when you have business trips to the farthest part of the globe wherein there is a major time zone difference. It usually takes 1 or 2 days before your body clock can adjust to the new environment, so try to get as much sleep as you can when you have the luxury to do so. For sure you don’t want to present a proposal or speech with a sleepy head in front of your associates.

Be flexible enough when the need arises during your business trips. Bear in mind these are just temporary adjustments that you need to get used if you want better growth and creative ideas for your business. Travel in a free-spirited mood and don’t let worries or travel sickness affect your business appointments. Strive and excel.

Freelancing career has indeed pave way for people to have better choices of employment right in the comforts of their homes. In fact most of the freelancers I know have made this career as their main source of income. But, before you can fully rely on the earnings you might get from doing any freelance work, it requires a lot of hard work, dedication and proof (by means of certification or experience) that you are really a competitive freelancer with superb skills.

As you start your freelance career, there are two types of clients you will deal with, a one-time client or a repeat client who could turn out to be your long-term employer if everything goes well between the two of you. How do you achieve a good list of repeat clients?

Well, here are some helpful steps to take into consideration before you can acquire this freelance goal—increase the number of repeat or long-term employers:

1. Possess excellent communication skills

Sometimes, communication becomes a barrier in satisfying clients. If you want to enter a freelance career, be sure to foster excellent communication skills both verbal and written to make sure that you and your employer will have a better chance of understanding about the project that needs to be done. Remember, most freelance work is completed virtually, meaning you don’t have the opportunity to meet the employer physically and work under his/her supervision, especially if you are from the other side of the globe, so your mode of communications are mostly emails when relaying messages.

2. Be sincere

Repeat clients are achieved not only from top quality work submitted by the freelancer, but it can rely as well to the overall sincerity of the hired worker. Be sure to keep to your promises. For example, if you have agreed to do the articles by the hour, log-in only what is required from you. Never charge your employer for idle hours you didn’t really work. By doing this, you are showing your client that you can be trusted. Always meet deadlines and as much as possible avoid delays. If there is an instance where you cannot meet a due date, tell you client right away. Keep in mind that even though you and your employer are miles apart, the way you construct your email messages already projects the sincerity of the sender. Give the client the assurance that every single cent charged on his/her account will be commensurate to the quality work you will produce.

3. Practice professionalism

Treat each client with enough courtesy and practice professionalism. Don’t feel too comfortable just because you can address your client by his/her first name. Maintain the employer to worker relationship and observe proper email etiquette when sending out messages. In the event you are having problems or misunderstanding on the project, be open to cite your disagreements, but in a polite manner. Don’t just proceed with the project by ignoring your client’s emails.

4. Provide incentives

To achieve repeat clients, be willing to provide incentives, especially to those employers who constantly do business with you. Giving the old clients some discounts would encourage them to do repeat projects. Make an extra mile effort in your services like offering revisions to some changes needed on the work without charging extra fees, so that the client feel that he/she can depend on you. Keep in mind how many revisions will you do as part of the package that won’t affect your other projects.

Top advice:

I, myself have been very lucky with the way things are going on right now in my freelance career wherein most of my clients are either repeat or long-term employers. I think aside from the superb skills that you must possess that sets you apart from the rest, making your employer feel your sincerity and concern for the success of their company would provide the impression that you are the perfect choice for the project. Always treat each client with respect, honesty and for sure you have a long way to go in the freelance market. Keep going.

Any business should never run out of marketing ideas in promoting their products or services. With the various marketing tool available for promoters, any business owner must be careful in selecting the best form of advertisement for it to become very useful and effective.

Even in today’s modern era, one marketing strategy that proves to be working well in reaching out more consumers is the use of poster prints. Poster marketing could benefit any business because of its affordability and countless designs to choose from. If your company is planning to use this form of marketing, the poster printing, below are the 3 vital aspects to consider for an effective poster ad:

1. Know your target consumers

Before you start the entire layout design for your intended poster print, know your target consumers. Conduct surveys on how you can capture your audience, their interests, needs and wants. A well-made poster design is something that would instantly attract a client’s attention to a full stop, either to look at your poster or read whatever marketing message or slogan printed on it. Keep in mind that is should imprint a lasting image in the minds of your chosen niche, increase your branding awareness campaign program or tell your consumers what you have to offer.

2. Encourage a call-to-action move

A carefully planned poster printout must encourage a call-to-action move on the part of the recipient, your target crowd. Your poster, whatever its chosen theme or message must clearly tell the consumers the wonderful benefits they would get from availing your product or service. It should entice them either to check your on-line site, visit your shop or contact you costumer service team.

3. Showcase creativity

Your poster printing should always showcase your company’s personal taste and uniqueness distinguishing your business from the rest of your competitors. As you conduct the first phase of your poster design, see to it that your creativity stands out. You can choose a theme that would best represent your company’s own legacy, one that adheres to excellence and professionalism in anything you do or offer to the public. Make your audience feel that sincerity even by just the outcome of your posters. Be sure that whatever marketing message you want to relay will surely reach your target clients.

Top advice:

Don’t be afraid to try new forms of marketing and infuse some personal touch in whatever you create, even to your poster designs. See to it that your designs will support the marketing motives you want your consumers to view your business. Keep in mind always that once a poster has reached the hands of your target clients, it should always encourage a call-to-action move on their part, either to take time reading it, make a purchase, or try out your new services. Never stop discovering new options that would benefit your company in the end. Strive to excel in whatever you do in the marketing arena.

So that being said, here is a video by the Sumos discussing some of the valuable lessons learnt along the way with quality vs measure and staying true to the core values of your business.

When you are new to a space you have got to make it your own. There is just no other way for any person to handle it. Especially if you are a particularly organized or creative person, your new home office is your everything. You want your space in your house to be your own; anything less is just rubbish. So whether you’re new to moving in or you are gutting an older space and designing it yourself, there are a few points to help make the space more fully your own.

Make a Plan: The first step, often overlooked, is to plan what you need and want in your office to make it comfortable, efficient and cost effective. Here are some tips and ideas that I think you should include in your perfect office plan;

A big solid desk – space to fit your computer setup but also space to write if you need to

Ergonomics – if you’re going to be sitting in your office for hours on end you should consider ergonomic best practices such as a quality ergonomic chair, keyboard and mouse pads, correct screen height, right amount of legroom and more

A place for everything – If you have a tendency to get distracted, you should make sure you have a place for all your work things so you don’t have bits and pieces lying all over your desk the will distract you

Temperature control – you won’t be able to do your best work unless you can get comfortable. Consider what you’re going to need ie. air con, fans, heaters etc. to keep your office at the idea temperature year round

Whiteboard – I’ve heard several people lately raving about how useful their whiteboard is and while I don’t have one myself, if I did I think I would find it quite a useful organising tool

Dress the Space: Before you have moved your things in, it’s important to “dress” your space. That means any painting you are going to do, any wall hangings which will find their way up, and things like that. Get the details taken care of prior to moving in the furniture and bigger pieces. You want to do it this way because if you really are trying to make the ultimate home office space then you have got to imagine the space at its most ideal. If you decide after you get all the wall hangings up and all the furniture in that you want to change the wall color then you have to take everything down, move furniture around or cover it up and that’s nobody’s idea of efficiency.

Move Your Furniture In: After your details are taken care of and your space looks as you’d like it minus furniture, then it’s time to move the furniture in. Get those items in and flush with the walls, get your ideal workspace set up and make sure that you haven’t overcommitted the space. You can always add more later on but if you begin your new office adventure already thinking of all the things you want to get rid of, that’s not really a very positive way to begin your new office relationship.

Some Other Ideas: Your office needs to have the essentials: a work-space, a desk, a computer, a land line telephone if you still have one of those. You also should try to “green” things up by using low-wattage light bulbs in lamps, using power strips so you can kill all the power at the end of the day, and your office should have a bit of your personality in it as well. You need to have something fun so that you can relax and de-stress every now and again.

Move the Rubbish Out: All along the way you were hopefully taking care to get rid of all the major pieces and saving them to see about reuse. Once your space is totally decked out and you have decided what will stay and what will go now is the time to get rid of all the rubbish. One way to attack that is by hiring a skip bin and they will get rid of all your rubbish.

Then you can set to the task of doing the work you have made up this amazing home office for!

————————–

Nick writes for Adelaide’s skip bin experts; Just Skips. They have a range of skip sizes available for hire to make your rubbish removal easier.

Are you reading this or did you skip past it to look at the pictures? If it is true that a picture speaks 1000 words then all of our organic content is for naught. When developing a web marketing strategy you need to include pictures. With all of the social media out there, do not miss out on business because your words are not speaking loudly enough.

How People Choose a Webpage

People on the internet are fickle. They want things that are easy to digest. They want the information that they are looking for to be on target. You could have an information rich webpage that could be perfect, however, if your page is boring people will skim right over it. Having images makes your page stickier. On the internet you need to spend time optimizing your page with information, SEO content and pictures.

More Sharing Than Ever

People are sharing on Facebook and Twitter and they are instagramming everything. Social media is the new way to get organic content. Inbound marketing through social media reaches more customers. If you have a store that sells yarn you do not want to have pop-up ads for yarn. You want to have Instagram pictures that people can share of crafts. Reach out to bloggers to talk about short rows and share images of items that they made with your product. People will see your company from a non-spammy perspective and they will be more interested.

Working the Infographic

Using pictures to highlight what you are saying may bring you back to high school. When you had to make a presentation you often created a poster. This would get the class engaged and help you get points with the teacher because your idea was easier to grasp. Well, now the internet is the class and you are presenting once again. Creating an infographic makes the reader stick on your page. You see them all the time in magazines about what is in this year. Instead of a written timeline you have a comparison of pictures and word bubbles. Keep it fun but fill it with information.

Getting Pinned

When you have a picture that someone finds interesting they can pin it to their Pinterest page. When you have an image that people share they are likely to find out what is behind that image. If you have a vintage fabric wedding bouquet business you should have pinnable pictures. Brides will share this information and you will then become the authority on vintage fabric bouquets.

Ways to make your image more pinnable are:

Be sure they clearly project what you are about

Make sure they are Pinterest formatted

Have a contest based around who repins your image

Use images that reflect emotions

Images or Video?

YouTube is great. You can make a wonderful video about your bed and breakfast or how to dye your hair. However, when people are skimming they may skip a video. You have to reel them in first before you expect them to watch a five minute video. A picture is also more cost effective. A video requires camera work, a set, lighting, editing and a script. A picture can be taken with a cell phone. Start by getting repined and shared on Facebook and Twitter and then, when your budget permits, get hits on YouTube.

Make Your Marketing Work

People are drawn by images. When you want someone to look at your page you must give them something to look at. Be creative and clear and you will be able to capture your audience.

Entrepreneurs and other corporate managers are among the busiest individuals in the field they are good at, but this doesn’t mean at all that they are not liable to the kind of people they hire for their businesses in the end.

In fact with their countless responsibilities, they sometime overlooked the true importance of direct supervision to their human resource department in finding the best and reliable workers for their organizations.

Keep in mind that aside from a good set of objectives to guide you through the operation of your business, its entire success depends as well to the overall skills and knowledge of your team members which could eventually lead to better output or production.

Here are some areas that any entrepreneur or manager should focus into when becoming involved in the entire hiring process:

Proper posting of job description

When posting your job vacancies, be sure that a detailed explanation of the possible responsibilities and scope of actual work should be clearly stated on the job ads, so that any applicant can have a clearer view of what is expected of him/her when given the vacant position. Don’t forget to be more specific with the set of skills or expertise you want an ideal candidate to possess in order for you to save more time in training an employee with lesser skills.

Be more involved in the selection process

To prevent wrong choices of workers, don’t just put all the hard work and selection process to your human resource department. Become more involved in the whole recruitment by making yourself available for the final interview, so that you have a clearer assessment if that potential worker is really fit for the said position.

Consider your current employee’s potentials

Sometimes, firms and businesses are too pre-occupied in filling-in the vacant position without conducting survey among their current employees who are suitable to fill-in a higher level position. You might be surprised in the end that a huge number of eligible candidates in your roster are ready for promotions.

A company’s success is not only dependent on the set of goals you have, nor to the amount of capital resources you are willing to invest. Manpower is also among the vital factors that any business owner should give proper attention and becoming involved or having your voice be heard by the hiring body would guarantee you that only high quality individuals with adequate specializations will be working alongside your business plans for the further development of your business in the end. Be wise and know where your business is heading to by hiring only qualified workers who are ready to do their jobs.

One of the greatest fears of us freelancers that we hope not to happen is the compelling issue of “getting sick”. Yes, freelancers like me often dread the mere idea of having illnesses that will hinder any freelance work or project into full completion. But, we cannot prevent this from affecting us since we are all human beings and sometimes susceptible to illnesses or diseases like flu, colds and allergies, no matter how hard we try to protect ourselves. How do we handle a situation like this, being sick and having to face delay of any existing projects?

Here are 5 helpful ways that freelancers like me can do when unable to comply with a work assignment or meet deadlines because of sickness:

1. Don’t add more stress to your sickness

Experiencing a throbbing headache, runny nose and watery eyes due to a flu virus just hit me recently that kept me at bay from finishing any writing task I have as a freelance writer. Any current conditions like these inhibit any good writer from producing well-written contents. Although, I was more concerned with what my employers’ reaction would be, since I cannot continue with my writing task, I tried to stay calm and assessed the specific needs of my clients. In a situation like this, adding stress to oneself is big “No” because it could worsen your present health conditions. Clear your thoughts and find a solution.

2. Weigh in your existing projects level of importance

Some freelancers try their best to continue working even when sick, but if you have a project that requires thorough mental analysis or intensive writing, then, having discomforts like severe headache will prevent you from doing the task and coming up with satisfying output. The best course of action to do is notify your employer the soonest possible time so that he/she can decide whether a delay is just okay or if there is a need to find a replacement, especially if your sickness worsens.

3. Avoid doing unnecessary activities

In events that your boss agreed that you rest until you feel much better, try to avoid doing unnecessary activities like checking emails or sending replies. Give yourself a break from your PC or laptop and use this time to sleep.

4. Consult your doctor

If you think your colds worsen, consult your doctor for proper diagnosis of your illness, so that correct treatment would be applied to make you better.

5. Get a health insurance

Freelancing work doesn’t guarantee us of any medical benefits or paid sick leaves, unlike workers in offices who have these privileges. We must get ourselves insured for heath services that we might need in the future, either for annual check-up or sickness. Look for the best health insurance package that is within your budget.

Being sick maybe a compelling issue for any freelancer, especially if you have a deadline to meet, but if you cannot produce quality work, better inform your client about your present condition of being sick. Don’t be afraid if your employer cancels the contract, your health is more important at the moment. You can bounce back to work the moment you feel better. Do everything to be on track again and make up for the missed tasks to satisfy your employer. Keep in mind that employers are humans too and will surely understand if you are sick and need to pause for a while from work. Now, rest and recharge.

In fact, those who have made tremendous growth to their individual businesses would attest that one secret formula is dedication besides hard work. Below are some ways that successful entrepreneurs used to improve their performance and prepare them for a more challenging future:

Set-up your business goals

Goals in particular are needed for any start-up business to have a clear direction to where you going. Determine both your short and long-term objectives, then use them as your guide in decision making.

Be consumer-oriented

One of the contributing factors for a successful business is highly dependent on how satisfied your consumers are. Find out what are your target consumers needs and wants, then, focus on enhancing your products or services to meet their specific standards. Promptly attend to any matters involving client disputes and make the appropriate actions to solve their problems.

Proper delegation of work

Since, you are just running a small business you need to maximize your team’s productivity level. This can only be done through proper delegation of work and other responsibilities. Remember, you cannot be on the site for 24/7, so you need to assign someone who can act on your behalf in cases when you are out of the picture. Make a detailed list of their tasks and responsibilities, so that they can perform well even without your direct supervision.

Keep updated with the latest trends and technology

Being aware of the new developments affecting the industry you are in is a must. Learning what is hot and new as well as the latest technology will give you an edge in your overall performance and provide satisfaction to your client’s interests. Be on track of the possible changes and flexible enough to adopt them to your operation.

Use various marketing techniques

In today’s modern generation wherein the internet has greatly affected our day-to-day activities, business owners must use various marketing techniques to cope up with the stiff competition. You can include online marketing among your goals to gain web presence and tapping larger crowds who are mostly glued to the PCs, laptops and smartphones. Explore the wonderful benefits of online marketing and for sure you will not only save loads of money from expensive ads but also your time and energy as you get to do a lot of things in just one sitting.

Businesses are always affected by the constant changes happening to our technologies and what the current trends dictate the entire globe. Don’t be afraid to face these changes for they might be good for your business. Focus on your business goals and never give up if by first attempt you fall down. There is always a second chance. Stay a positive outlook.

Nowadays, not only goods are quickly accessible online, even online training courses are beginning to be popularized via the internet. If you are one of those busy entrepreneurs who still hunger for continuous learning about the latest trends in running a business, then, availing online business training course is a major possibility. But, before you make a further step in committing to this new responsibility, ask yourself, are you ready for this online business training? Remember, many of these online courses are quickly accessible as long as you have a reliable PC or laptop and a dependable internet connection.

For you to realize if the online business training is the right program, below are some guidelines to look into as you re-evaluate yourself:

Assess your present skills

The first thing that you need to do before enrolling yourself to any program, whether it is for a traditional business school or an online business training course is make a full assessment of your present skills. Make a checklist of your educational background and from there find out what you really need to enhance your expertise in running a business. If you are just a newbie in the industry, then an introductory level course is the perfect module for you or if you just want to further increase your present knowledge in the business field, then a more advanced concept of online business course is your route to specialization. Ask a third party to evaluate your skills, educational attainment and experiences to be sure that you are assessed properly.

Make a detailed list of your objectives

In every mission, there are sets of objectives that are listed to help the person/company know exactly where he/she is going. Same applies to individuals wanting to take further studies like these online business training programs. These objectives will also guide you correctly, whether you are really suited to take that online business course. Take note, it’s not only your energy and money that will be used if you commit to this type of learning process. Time as well will be used, so ask yourself if you are 100% ready to spare quality time for online training.

Conduct your own surveys

Never rely only on testimonials or referrals for the best online business programs. Before you even sign-up for a particular course, conduct a thorough survey of the various trainings available online. Checkout what are the different options for you to learn. There are training courses that can be dependent on the learning pace of the student or those that are strictly followed by a timeframe. Verify also the learning materials that you will get like text materials, audio, videos and other interactive modules to help you out. Again, use this research as your basis in your decision making.

Dedication

This is the most vital aspect you have to consider when you decide to take the online business training. Are you really ready to commit yourself and your precious time to this learning agenda? Do you have extra financial resources to spend for this online course? Although, there are paid online training courses, there are also a good number of reliable free online business training programs available for your selection. The bottom line to this matter is your dedication and willingness to share some of your time to learn new ideas. Decide wisely if a self-paced online training course is the best solution.

Be totally informed with valuable ideas before taking yourself committed to further studies like an online business course. Knowing exactly your learning needs and your present skills will help you choose the best online training course. Be in full control of your goals and have the privilege to learn more at the very comforts of your home, workplace or anywhere you pleases to as long as there is a fast and reliable internet connection.

No matter what type of business you are involved right now, it makes a big difference if your website has an impressive landing page. Many owners of small businesses are still unaware of the amazing benefits of having proper landing pages because of lack of information on how this specific web page could make their businesses prosper. Remember, in any business, the success of one’s online advertisement is also dependent on how effective is your landing page.

Having this idea in mind, let us first discuss the meaning of a “landing page”. It is often referred to as the page where most of your online visitors get to land on when they click on an advertisement. Landing pages are created for the following reasons:

- Increase relevant leads.

- Encourage a call-to-action on the part of the reader, either making a purchase or availing your free 30 day trial subscription.

- Provide detailed and useful information on your product or service offers.

- If you are into affiliate marketing lead the visitor to your business site.

Now, that you have a clearer understanding on how a landing page generally works for your company’s success, here are some valuable tips in creating a better landing page:

1. Make it simple

For your landing page to capture a visitor’s attention, try to make it simple as the word itself implies. You can probably use a brief description about your product or service. Don’t make it too long. Remember, based on surveys, most of your online visitors are busy individuals and they usually have only 30 seconds to stay glued on a certain web page, so try to use this precious time to direct them to a call-to-action move like downloading your freebies or signing-up for a free trial.

2. Think of colors

Another area you have to give careful analysis is your choice of colors for your landing pages. Think of colors that aren’t too bold or distracting to the eyes of your visitors. Try to incorporate themed colors that are refreshing or inviting to your target niche while at the same time giving a solid representation of your company’s uniqueness.

3. Avoid too many links

Don’t’ bombard your visitors with a landing page that is crowded with too many links or other unnecessary pop-up advertisements that would irritate your clients, thus, giving them reason to leave your page or discontinue any sign-up form they are starting to fill-in. Provide only relevant links and details geared towards leading them to where you want them to stay or make a call-to –action move.

Top recommendation:

An impressive landing page should represent your business as someone genuine and trustworthy. You can only achieve this goal by making your landing page valuable of information without being too pushy on your offers. Make use of testimonials, reviews, product or service information, tips, free downloads or trials. Keep in mind that online users like to receive something free, so when they get anything useful from the sites they have visited, they will surely come back to your site. Lastly, always consult an expert web designer if you are a newbie in landing page creation.

The advent of online business forced changes in business tactics to promote a higher degree of success. Capital requirements tend to be much lower and marketing efforts must adapt rapidly to changes in communications technology for online companies. Nevertheless, online businesses still need a formal plan at the beginning to clearly express capital needs for overhead, marketing, service or product provision, and labor. A stellar business plan offers a path to follow that will not only lead you to success, but will also outthink your competition. Here are some tips for creating such a winning plan for your online business.

What’s Your Problem?

The first step is to identify the problem you want to solve. What need is out there that is not being met? How can your online business satisfy that need with a singular product or service that will generate income? Some services generate income from information, while others use information to generate a customer base for their services. There are many income options with any given product or service.

Do the Research

Following your initial brainstorming, list your ideas and follow this with a list of requirements for each idea. Some ideas require little more than web design software and hosting space. Others require sourcing products or advertisers, learning new skills for your virtual business, or establishing multiple pages for cross traffic.

Ideas must be researched thoroughly to ensure they are viable. You also need to have alternative plans ready in case one tactic fails. Do your research to find out what your product or service needs.

Factor in Marketing

If your business is going to be a success, you need to know who your target audience is. Who are your customers and how many are there? You may want to call upon the services of The Internet Society and The Internet Group to better understand your demographic and their spending habits. Also identify who your competitors are. How is your product better than theirs? How can you outsmart them to get more customers?

Account for Finances

The costs of operations may be low for an online business, but they still need to be understood thoroughly. At some point, you are going to have to ask investors for money. Make this a well thought-out part of your business plan by explaining what you intend to do with their money and what the investors’ return on it will be.

While planning and running a successful online business is possible without planning, it is very rare. Follow the suggestions listed above to plan properly for your new venture.

Mary Morrone blogs about startups and other business issues. If you are interested in starting a business, you might want to consider applying for an MBA. Several schools offer MBA degrees, including embaonline.rit.edu and providence.edu.

We are mostly confined in one room of our houses, glued in front of our PCs or laptops trying to meet deadlines and unknowingly we are putting our health at risk or worst of all living a stressful life.

Remember, no matter how busy and tied-up we are in meeting deadlines, we still need to maintain a well-balanced lifestyle to cope up with the growing demands of our freelance careers as well as the complexities attached to this promising career.

Here are 6 effective ways to guide us to a healthier lifestyle that is stress free and more enjoyable:

1. Observe a well-proportioned weight

According to surveys, most people who are always sitting, doing their work like the freelancers are more prone to being obese because they don’t have time to be more active as they spend long hours doing computer work. For you to maintain a healthy and ideal weight, avoid snacking too much while you work. Don’t skip meals, then later on eat a huge meal to cover-up any missed meal for the day. Always eat a nutritious meal and if still hungry, take a light snack in between. A well- proportioned weight will allow you to work more freely without getting tired easily as compared to an overweight person.

2. Have a well-rested sleep

Based on medical studies, our bodies need at least 8 good hours of well-rested sleep for it to regenerate. A person who is deprived from sleep becomes moody and has the tendency to concentrate poorly on his/her work. Having a good night sleep will allow a person’s body and mind to function at its best, thus, making each freelance task as manageable no matter how complicated it maybe.

3. Take a 10 minute walk

Prolong sitting in front of the computer is not good for anyone’s health and mental focus. This may even lead to “computer vision syndrome”, wherein any individual may experience severe headaches, tired or weary eyes, neck pains and blurred visions. To prevent this from happening, take a 10 minute break. You can either stand up and do some stretches or go for a walk. Don’t confine yourself to your room or workplace. Get some fresh air and for sure when you resume to your work, you are more prepared to focus on any task.

4. Reward yourself with something you like or love

Working very hard may sometime make you feel weary and totally drained. Treat or reward yourself for any work done successfully with something you like or love like going out with your loved ones for a dinner, movie or traveling somewhere nice to relax. Other simple things that you love to do such as baking or gardening could help you unwind and remove your thoughts from a hectic schedule. Keep in mind that all work and no play will make a person dull.

5. Exercise

The best way to achieve a healthier you is by doing any form of exercise. A 30 minute brisk walking is good for the heart and may even relieve any forms of stress.

6. Stay happy

Don’t be too hard on yourself by setting goals that are too hard to accomplish or unrealistic. Keep in mind that there are days that no matter how focus we are, there maybe instances we get screwed up that is beyond our control like a power shortage or a computer bug affecting our PC delaying any work. Accept these challenges as part of your freelance work and face them positively.

A freelance career can be truly rewarding if you have set your heart and mind in succeeding to this type of online work. Determine your priorities and always keep a balance to your lifestyle because no matter how focus or eager you are to work, if your body is not able to function well, everything will fall behind. Carry on with your freelance work and live life to the fullest.

Are you in huge debt right now? Do you fear of having to face litigation from your creditors or loan agencies? If you think your credit case is a hopeless one and your only way out is to file for a bankruptcy to escape all these debt obligations, then, why not sit down for a while, clear your thoughts and take time reading the positive and negative side of this course of action—filing a bankruptcy status.

Positive Side

Once you have decided to file for a bankruptcy, all your credit payment schedules will be put on-hold. Your creditors will also be advised to contact first your legal representative in cases they want to contact you, since they are already being reprimanded not to talk to you personally. The good thing about this action is that all your credit payments will be stopped and have to wait until the court decided what to do with your pending credit obligations.

Filing a bankruptcy as your final debt solution would mean being cleared from most of your credit obligations that you need to pay. You don’t need to pay even a single cent if you resort to this debt solution alternative. There are also instances wherein a person who has filed a bankruptcy status has still rights to retain possession of his/her current assets to help him/her cope up with any present financial difficulties.

Negative Side

Filing a bankruptcy could lead to a negative feedback to your overall credit ratings score even if you are now totally free from any credit payment obligations.

In most reported cases of filed bankruptcy status, this bad credit record will have to stay and reflect your financial capability for a period of 10 years or depending on the rules and regulations being governed by your country’s bankruptcy law. This action will greatly affect any future borrowings you have in mind.

Availing other loans instantly could be more complicated if you filed a bankruptcy status such as loans related to housing or car loans.

Top advice:

I do hope the above positive and negative side of filing a bankruptcy has helped you decide wisely what course of action to undertake as your final debt solution. People often think that filing a bankruptcy will make you totally debt-free, but remember by putting yourself to this kind of status would only lead to bad credit ratings in the end that you will eventually regret when you really need to ask the assistance of credit companies for some quick loans. If you are still undecided which action to take, better seek the expert advice of a legal credit representative who is more knowledgeable in this area. Take charge of your debts by choosing the right debt solution for your credit problems and be totally debt-free in the end.

We have been hearing friends, relative and even colleagues at work about the current standing of our economy as well as the continued unfavorable conditions in the labor market where massive lay-offs are taking place. In fact you may also agree that we too are greatly affected with this instability and feel the major results with the way our purchasing power seems to depreciate as prices of goods and services soar high.

I think this is the right time to make both ends meet and not just face this issue with a gloomy face. Below are 5 awesome tips that will help us survive an economic crisis:

1. Maintain a possible outlook in life

Nothing beats a person having a positive outlook in life. Even when everything seems to be out of place or not working according to your expectations, facing each challenge with optimism will always bring the best in you. Find ways to cope up with the obstacles coming your way and for sure you will end up triumphant.

2. Manage your financial resources wisely

Create a detailed list of your budget. Learn to prioritize your expenses based on your needs and wants. Once you have set-up your weekly budget, be sure to stick to it and make the necessary money-saving actions in order to prevent you from going beyond your means.

3. Check for bundle rewards and other coupon deals

Most businesses seeing this tough economy affecting their operations make partnership with other institutions to improve their sales or performance. A good example of this business mutual agreement is when your local gas station offers a reasonable discount when you avail their services and at the same time giving you discount privileges if you do business with their affiliated establishments like supermarkets or other convenience stores. Scout for the best bundle rewards and coupon deals being offered in your area. Increase your purchasing power without having to spend much by looking for great bargains and other promotional discounts.

4. Get another source of income

You can increase your current earnings by getting another source of income. For example, if you like baking so much, why not turn this hobby into cash by making yummy parties and start selling them to your friends, relatives and neighbors in the community. You may eventually realize that this hobby could lead you to another fruitful career path as an entrepreneur.

5. Enjoy life

The best and most effective way to combat this tough economy is to be grateful of what you have at the moment and learn to enjoy life. Don’t let this crisis affect your life or your mood for the day. Have fun and go out to see the real beauty of your surroundings. A simple stroll in the park that doesn’t require you to spend even a single penny could lighten up your trouble mind and help you to keep going on with your usual activities for the day.

Never let this tough economy ruin your outlook in life. There are a lot of ways on how you could surpass this tight budget situation. Learning to manage your finances wisely while being contented of what life has to offer at the moment will give you the inner peace and strength to pursue your goals. Stay directed with your target and that is to face this trial with a happy face.

As we continue to face tough economy, maintaining a present job is already challenging when huge percentage of lay-offs are here and there, but how do you ask your boss for that much needed raise without being fired? Proper timing is the best move to consider if you want to get positive results regarding this issue with your supervisor or HR manager.

Below are 6 effective ways to guide you before making the first move in asking for a wage increase:

1. Assess the company’s present financial standing

It is a known fact that most companies and other businesses are facing major financial crisis at the moment. Assess first the current financial standing of your company. Try to observe if there are massive lay-offs happening to your firm. If you see that your company is trying to minimize new hires and are maximizing the work output of their current staff, then, the issue on pay raise is not advisable at this point of time. Maybe you could put hold this pressing matter for a year or two, see how your company’s financial status improves and from there find the courage to voice out your concerns on salary increase.

2. Determine your true worth as a worker

Before you make a move in asking a salary increase, maybe you should assess your true worth as a worker. Count the number of years you have been with that company as well as the current skills you possess. Check also the prevailing pay rate for the position you hold at the moment in the labor market and analyze if you are getting the right compensation package for your expertise.

3. Conduct surveys

It is also a wise move on your part if you conduct surveys with regards to compensation packages being offered in your community. Read local ads for job postings similar to your present work and find out their possible salary offers. You can visit employment agencies who are giving free skills assessment, so that you have a clear analysis of whether you deserve a pay raise or career advancement.

4. Be open to other benefits

Keep yourself updated with any news or announcements circulating in your office. There might be offers for extra pay for doing overtime work. This could be your chance to get yourself be noticed by joining this kind of set-up and eventually voice out your concerns with salary increase. Besides, any extra income is better than nothing at all. Be open to other benefits being offer by your company such as gas allowance or free meals because when you sum up all these non-cash benefits you will realize you are getting more than a pay raise.

5. Show your best assets

Make your boss feel that you are an indispensable employee in your department. Show them your best assets by contributing effectively to the entire success of the firm. You will be surprise when your boss rewards your hard work with a salary increase without you personally asking for the raise.

6. Prepare your pay raise proposal

Take your time in preparing your pay raise proposal. Note down all your concerns, your major contributions and skills as a worker asking for an increase. You could even practice your future conversation with your immediate boss or HR manager about the salary proposal, so that when the actual scenario sets in you have the confidence to speak clearly your motives. Remember to present yourself in a calm and professional manner without being too pushy or demanding. Never give ultimatums by telling your boss that you will resign if they could not give your pay raise demands for they might end up making a decision to let you go if they don’t have the financial capacity to comply with your proposal.

Right timing counts most in any dealing matters such as the issue of asking for a salary raise. If you think that this tough economy is what prevents your employer from giving you the much needed pay raise, have the patience to wait and for sure in the end you will reap greater rewards when your company is already financially capable. Think logically what is important at the moment, a secured job with a modest salary or you ending up with losing your source of income in this economic crisis. Proper negotiation is always the key to arrive to better terms that both parties could benefit, you getting paid fairly while your company getting the top quality output from your hard work.

In today’s modern age were everything is accessible online, companies and businesses see this alternative as a great opportunity to maximize their web presence by building their own websites. Even traditional companies who are already successful in their line of businesses follow this route of website creation to maintain a good lead and compete fairly among those who already established their online visibility.

Maybe this important question pops into your mind, “How do I start a web page?” Remember, by just typing a certain keyword associated to your business, Google search could easily track you and present you to your target consumers. Here are 5 important steps to consider if you aim to conquer web presence and get noticed:

1. Determine the type of website you like to start with to achieve your online visibility. Find out if you want to concentrate on an informative site wherein your main agenda is to provide reliable information regarding your business offers, whether it is a product or service. Take note that in web page creation, creativity counts most. For sure you want as many online users to be enticed to visit your website and have an enjoyable and learning experience as they navigate your web pages. Do your best to construct a user-friendly website.

2. Learn the basic tools in web page development. If you are a newbie in this area, knowledge of HTML editor or text editor is a plus factor. You must also possess skills in clip-art, graphics and other web designing programs. You could also try using Word’s paint program, but in the event you have no idea on these areas, visit WordPress.com or Go Daddy.com. These sites could give you some helpful tips on how to get started. Be sure to have some background with HTML codes.

3. Know the basics of HTML codes. You can find some online tutorials on how to use HTML codes in the event you zero knowledge on this particular skill. Remember, it takes a lot of patience, practice and desire to learn these codes before you can be fully adept in this field of expertise.

4. Find a reliable web host service provide for your web pages. Conduct online surveys for reputable web hosts. There are some who even offer free web hosting trials, so take your time before subscribing to their services and find the right web host provider for your web pages.

5. Advertise your website. After you have successfully created your web pages, the next step to focus into is the marketing phase. You have to use different methods to advertise your website such as the use of banner ads, email marketing, link exchanges and through SEO (search engine optimization). Try a combination of these methods so you can have a better comparison at the end which method works best for your particular business.

Web page creation is indeed a necessity nowadays for most businesses in order to gain full web visibility. Decide the best web design for your web pages. You could patiently do it from scratch if you don’t have the budget to hire a web developer, but if you have the financial capacity, then, hire the most reliable web designer that you could find. This is the perfect time to be seen on the web and tap as many clients as you can.

A classic, and often under used element of web design is the footer. Whilst some would argue that people rarely see these, it doesn’t mean that time and consideration can’t be taken to reward those that do. Also, in recent years as screen resolutions rise and screens get larger, design (even responsive) still seems to reach a maximum of 990 or 960, leaving our ‘south of the fold’ friends popping up onto the screen far more often.

Are you having one of those days when every project you have is falling behind the set schedule and you don’t have enough energy to keep on going or at least focus on what you are doing at the moment? This lack of concentration or procrastination do happen to us freelancers once in a while, no matter how hard we try to resist it, because we don’t have the physical presence of someone in authority like our boss to keep checking our work progress.

Working virtually as a freelancer has its ups and downs. Sometimes we tend to become a bit laid back, so here are 5 sure ways to put a magic spell to our lack of energy and help us focus more on things we need to accomplish:

1. Create a detailed list of things to do in a day. Knowing exactly your priorities for a particular day would set some clear direction on your work as well as making you equipped in meeting important deadlines. If you are have a big project at the moment, try dividing it into smaller tasks or allocate equal hours so that before you know it you are on your way to finishing the said project ahead of time.

2. Schedule in-between breaks to break the monotony of your work for the day. Don’t be too harsh on yourself by doing all work without having any breaks. Set your alarm and try to consume the 10-15 minutes in-between breaks you have allotted, either doing some stretching if you have been I front of your PC or laptop for a long time or if you feel your stomach is already grumbling, why not grab a bite so you could bring out new source of energy to your body. Remember a full stomach will help you think and perform better. Giving yourself few minutes cut-off from your freelance work in a day could bring positive vibes or energy, thus giving you a livelier mood to carry on with your duties.

3. Watch out for your health. Since, most freelancers don’t have any sick benefits or paid day-offs, don’t neglect your health. As the saying goes, “Health is wealth”, this is true in all aspects of our freelance careers. Remember, if you are having health problems, don’t feel sorry if you have to take a leave with your freelance work and consult the doctor the soonest possible time and confide any discomforts or pain you are experiencing. Early diagnosis is better than curing an ailment. Take all the necessary medications or rest if needed, so that you can resume to your normal working abilities the moment you get better.

4. Provide a good working environment. Most freelancers prefer working in the comforts of their homes. If you want to stay focus at all times a conducive workplace is a must for you to be more productive and always work effectively. Take note that any place that is too cozy is a hindrance for you to comply with your set deadlines, like the bedroom that could only be too inviting for you to lie back and relax. You can transform any available space in your home where you can be comfortable enough to work and concentrate. Better tell your loved ones about specific times in a day wherein they cannot just barge in and interrupt you from work. Act in a professional manner, even though there are no eyes watching your every move.

5. Be optimistic. If you have been too pre-occupied during the day, doing too many errands outside your freelance work, don’t feel bad. The day hasn’t yet finish and you still have few hours to accomplish even a few tasks to augment for the lost hours you became unproductive. Try to view any events positively for this will help you manage your work with vigor.

Becoming a freelancer requires you to have a lot of guts, dedication, patience and strong willpower to succeed and satisfy your client’s expectations. If you are determined to stay in this business for a long time, try to get yourself organized by setting your goals for the day. There are times when things don’t go well and you did not finish the given project, but if you have a free-spirited mind everything can be achieved in a lighter mood.

Are you one of those guys who have been blinded with the purchasing power of credit cards and continued to splurge on any item on sale, only to find out in the end that your credit spending went beyond your credit limit? Now, that you are facing a huge debt obligation and don’t know precisely how to handle this compelling issue, this is where a debt negotiation comes into the limelight.

For your benefit, debt negotiation also known as debt settlement is the process of making an agreement with regards to your existing credit loans with the creditor’s rules of debt and how they can minimize the interest rates on your debt payment premiums. The main purpose of any debt negotiation is to come up with a solution that will benefit both parties, the lender being assured of getting paid, while on the side of the borrower, giving him/her the chance to pay the premiums based on his/her financial capacity at the moment.

If you are already facing a massive indebtedness, the best solution is to find the most reliable debt negotiation company. Below are 4 effective ways to guide you in choosing the best debt settlement provider:

Make your own research. Although, there are many debt settlement firms available in the market right now, getting the most credible one is a tough task to do. It would be ideal to conduct your own research and assess which among these debt services firms meet your specific requirements. Ask friends, relatives and other authorities whom you think will give you a solid advice regarding this pressing financial issue.

Prepare a checklist of all your queries once you have narrowed down your candidates for debt settlement firms. Don’t forget to ask about their service fees and other charges that may be included in their terms. Feel free to request a formal meeting before committing with their professional help and know exactly the entire scope of services being offered like who will make the follow-up calls with your credit companies or what will be the terms they would arrange for your behalf with your creditors.

Check with the Better Business Bureau about the track record of your chosen debt settlement company, if they have successfully satisfied and solved every client’s debt problem, how they handled their debt settlement issues, thus making them totally debt free in the end after their intervention or professional help. All these areas should be taken into greater consideration before finalizing your choice of debt negotiation firm.

All agreements should be put into legal documentation, so that you are assured that your particular debt problem will be solved properly and carefully recorded for later referencing. Be sure to read the debt negotiation agreement before you even sign any contract. Don’t hesitate to ask further explanations if some rules or policies aren’t clear on your part because at the end of the day, you will be the one who will carry the full responsibility whatever you have agreed upon together with your representative, your terms of payments with your chosen debt settlement firm.

I do hope the above ways will guide you in finding the most suitable debt negotiation firm who will be there to provide the most applicable and realizable debt solution for your credit case. Entrust your debt problems to someone with enough expertise in handling this financial matter professionally and you will surely end up debt free. Stay determined to pay all your credit obligations.

Getting yourself at the door of the freelance industry isn’t an easy task to accomplish. You must have solid proof of expertise, so that you can make an impressive profile. Another thing, you must also know where the legitimate online sites who are offering jobs or tap the right people to guide you on how to get started and become a member of their outsourcing community. These are just some of the real facts you have to deal with plus the instances that some would grab this chance for their own advantage and that is to conduct their cyber crime activities of misleading people about getting jobs if you will pay their membership fees, only to find out that their website is a bogus one.

For you to become fully aware on how to avoid being scammed as a freelancer below are some vital tips that you can ponder about and make you wiser:

1. Never pay upfront payments

Avoid websites who are requesting fees in advance before you even get a job proposal. Think twice before paying any upfront cash to any freelancing websites promising instant work. Take note there are a lot of legitimate websites who would only get commission once you get started earning like the well-known and trusted outsourcing freelance community “Odesk”. If an outsourcing agency has legal proofs of its existence and has been proven to be providing freelance work and ask some minimal fees, then, it’s up to you to give it a try. Weigh all the possibilities where you can benefit greatly and give it a try. Ask around and get referrals from people you know personally or other freelance workers you meet.

2. Verify the website’s information

To know if the website you are dealing is real or not, why not go over the online registered listings of these websites, use Google maps or maybe do your own background check by conducting surveys, reading online testimonials of satisfied members who have been successful doing freelance work through their site.

3. Don’t give your personal details easily

If a website is asking your personal and bank details too soon through emails, don’t respond to them or ignore their letters for this might be a scam. Entrust your personal information only to sites which are legal or related to online Payments like Paypal.

4. Seek advice

Getting yourself in this type of job opportunity as a freelancer working online doesn’t happen overnight. You have to prove your worth to all your potential employers. If a website offers something that is too good to be true like earning big bucks just doing data entry work, then, pause for a while and give it a rational analysis if the offer could really exist. Seek the advice of your friends, relative or colleagues who have been working as well as freelancers.

Recommendation:

Never be blinded with false promises that are too unrealistic. Assess yourself what is really your worth as a potential freelancer and entrust your online career to a legal website or perhaps post your credentials to certified online employment agencies. They might ask you to pay some minimal fees, but for sure they will do their best in finding you a sure job. Rest assured that these outsourcing firms will lead you to the right direction of being hired and getting paid eventually. Keep a watchful eye as you do any freelance work online.

A well-planned and detailed business presentation could help you achieve a more desirable outcome from your attendees, particularly your potential investors or business partners and that is to encourage them to invest with your company or agree with your business plans at the end of the presentation. But, how do you prepare for a successful business presentation? Here are 5 steps to follow to ensure you are confidently ready for the big day, your business presentation:

1. Focus on your specific topic

When doing the entire layout of your business presentation, it would be best if you have a clear view of the specific topic you are about to discuss in front of your audience or business associates.

2. Provide the necessary materials

Presenting your business proposal takes long hours of planning, researching, conducting feasibility studies and correct sequencing of ideas that you want to relay with your target audience. Remember to arm yourself with the necessary materials like printed materials, colorful visuals and other helpful information to aid you to further explain your objectives in a clearer picture. A successful business presentation is gauge on how you were able to convince your listeners to totally agree with your business plans or mission. Make sure all handouts are given prior to the said presentation, so that your audience could get the first hand information that could guide them to comprehend with what you are talking about during the meeting.

3. Quick access for back-up copies in case of equipment or power failure

For you to have a successful outcome for your intended business presentation, you must have quick access for back-up copies at your side in cases beyond your control like technical defects or power failure where your projector cannot function, thus, cutting short the scheduled meeting. Give these back-up copies to all your attendees, so that they could bring them at home and study your proposals.

4. Make follow-up

Whether the entire business presentation went well or not, it would be ideal if you could spend few hours to answer some of the questions of your audience. Be confident when giving out your views and take note of important issues that you need to clarify on your next meeting. Assure your business associates or potential investors that you do further research on concerns that cannot be answered at that particular moment.

Top advice:

Speaking in font of a crowd or audience takes a lot of practice, courage and determination to relay your message clearly and eventually persuading them to agree with your ideas. Any business presentation has its ups and downs. Don’t get discourage easily if by the end of your presentation, your desired outcome of approvals amongst your listeners was not met. There is always a second chance to do better, but make every effort to project yourself with credibility, strength and power as you perform your business presentation.

Writing in general needs a lot of creativity and passion in order to come up with a heartfelt message. This rule also covers when you are focused into writing emails intended for your lead nurturing campaign motives.

Whether, you are already an adept marketer or just starting your online business, one of the vital concerns of any entrepreneur is how to generate a quality lead that would later on be your good source for relevant sales or a call-to-action on the part of your target consumers.

To fully benefit from your email lead nurturing campaign, below are 4 guidelines that you can apply for you to achieve amazing results on every email sent to your potential clients. The bottom line here is to make sure your email is read by many and not categorized as spam or deleted prior to being read by your clients.

1. Give your prospective clients relevant content

First priority when you send emails for your lead nurturing plans is to ensure you provide your readers something they can actually benefit and that would stir their curiosity to read your message or download any ebook offers you have for them. Find out your consumer’s interests and from there create a valuable content useful for your leads.

2. Concentrate on a specific topic

Almost everyday, we receive emails from our business associates, friends or from unknown marketers who are trying to influence our decisions to certain products or services. If you want to succeed on your lead nurturing campaign, concentrate on a certain field or topic and use this guide in composing your email. With every email sent, you must encourage the reader to a call-to-action, either by taking a free trial or subscribing to your monthly newsletters.

3. Make your email message short

Try constructing a shorter email message, but make sure that the entire message is readable enough for your client’s limited time to fully grasp the idea even in just a short glance. Avoid crowding your email message with too many links or other offers that would only confuse or hinder the person reading your message from fully understanding or comprehending with the actual message you want to relay.

4. Be totally creative

When composing your email lead nurturing campaigns, be creative in all aspects. Never send a duplicate of the first email you have already sent few days ago to your target consumers. Try to make each email a continuation of the first one and there should be proper coordination of all the messages sent. For example, if by any chance your first email message to download your ebook was overlooked by the receiver, cite in your second email if they have any questions or trouble downloading it and include it again or mention your free ebook download.

Creating effective email messages all the time for your lead nurturing campaign can really contribute to your successful sales generation or entice a call-to-action on the part of the reader. Writing in a professional manner could be the key to this lead nurturing campaign. A creative mind and positive outlook in writing are your best weapons in connecting effectively with your potential clients, thus, leading to quality leads once your unique messages hit the “Send” button.

Luckily for us, the bulk of our readers are actually from the fast growing Australian Freelancer community, so I know that I at as long as I’m up, chances are they will also I did however wonder, now that I know where my readers are, when is the best time for the posts to be read? Well lucky for me, Bit.ly and RakaCreative already answered this question for me.

If you’re a regular reader, then you are sure to have realised by now that I am a HUGE fan of Infographics. After all these years of coding and consulting, my attention span has pretty much been whittled down to allow pretty pictures and % signs.

On a more functional note, Infographics are great to use to add weight to your claims and comments when dealing with clients. On the rare occasion, I have to try and talk a client out of something, or gently sway their scope or intentions, Infographics (when I can find them) will generally replace graphs and pie charts of my own. Why? Because instead of saying “Hey, who’s the professional here, listen to me.” I now have the backing and support of another company or group who have also ran the numbers and came to the same conclusion as validation for my claims.

In the spirit of such, here is a round up of some of the better infographic sites out there.

The debate of between Social Media vs Search Engine Marketing has been escalting over the years. However, the issue is that a lot of marketers still base the ROI figures how the technology works against all measurable Key Performance Indicators, not just how and where the particular medium should be used. For example, if you want to raise Brand Awareness, you would rely more on Social Media than Search Engine Marketing, so why weight it similarly as a KPI?

Here is a great little video created by the guys at mdgadvertising.com on the battle between these mediums.

If you decide to pursue a career in the freelance industry, there are many issues you have to be aware of aside from providing a solid proof of your relevant working experiences in your portfolio. One of the most important concerns you must be knowledgeable of is the content of any contract you would enter into, either as a solo contractor or working for an agency.

Being vigilant to the terms of work agreement you would commit to any prospective employer is highly needed for you to know the real scope of your responsibilities as well as protect yourself in cases wherein their would be conflict or misunderstanding between you and your employer.

Here are 5 vital areas to check in a freelancer’s contract of agreement:

1. Mode of payment

Freelancers have the option to choose the type of payment they would consider for any work or project offered, it maybe hourly or fixed rate. Depending on your selection, be sure to verify the employer’s track of record from previous contractors who have been hired. Gather feedbacks if you have the chance, but if you are affiliated with an outsourcing company, employers are also rated according to their payment history, so you are assured that the one you will choose is credible enough to pay for your work. Nowadays, most freelancers prefer the hourly rate because payment is already guaranteed the moment you log-in and start to work unlike in fixed contract where payment is made upon delivery or completion of the entire project.

2. Deadline of submission

This area is very vital in any project. Be sure to verify with your employer the exact time or date of submission, since, most freelancers work in any parts of the globe and time zone may vary from one place to another. Confirm with your employer the actual time in your place and at his/her place when the work must be completed. A professional freelancer must do everything in his/her power to comply with the due dates.

3. To give or not to give work samples

This is a very complicated issue to freelancers who are just starting their online careers and learning the route in the freelance market. Some employers request their potential contractors to submit work samples to prove their competency, especially if you don’t have enough portfolios to show which usually happens to freelance writers, logo designers and even data encoders. If you are put into a situation where the client asks for a sample with specific details of what he/she wants you to produce, you better think twice before sending one even before the contract is made. There are cases wherein some freelancers have already given samples for free, only to find out in the end that they are not even considered. If you feel your talent or skills are extremely good together with your portfolio, then, giving out a sample is out of the picture. There are employers who only use this opportunity for their own benefit.

4. Scope of work

Nothing beats a clearly defined list of job responsibilities or scope of work covered in your contract. If you have been hired as a virtual assistant, it would be a wise move to verify with your employer the actual scope of your work. Any additional work required from you outside the contract should already be charged to the employer.

5. Termination of contract

Some employers may end contracts without prior notice to the freelancer concerned. You must be prepared for the worst when you might not even receive any payments for partial work done, especially if you have a fixed contract. Communicate regularly with your employer and update him/her with your work. Ask feedback for any work submitted and offer revisions. By doing this, you are eliminating the possibility of your work being rejected.

Now, that you have learned the vital areas that should be included in any contract of agreement, I do hope you become wiser in choosing your projects. Remember, don’t just grab the very first contract just to gain experience or earn money. Read all the terms and if you see that it will benefit you most, then, go ahead give it a try. You might end up having a long-term employment with that employer. Be highly motivated with your freelance career and focus on any project accepted.

Nowadays, online shopping is no longer considered a luxury. In fact with our busy schedules, this method of shopping through the internet is done for the main purpose of convenience and necessity. Although, a lot of consumers are already convinced to do their shopping online, there are still risky factors attached to this mode of transaction and security issues on the part of the buyers.

One of the nightmares that any consumer is afraid of facing is “identity theft” which is one of the common cyber crimes happening worldwide as well as the reports of credit card discrepancies or fraud. For you to feel safer while doing online shopping below are some security measures that you can apply:

1. Check for the website’s security

To know if the website you want to purchase a product or service is truly trustworthy enough to transact, check for the website’s security. You can do that by verifying if the website is secured by the URL. Most legitimate online shopping sites offer full protection to their online buyers by making sure that their sites are safe for any information given by the user like any personal or credit details won’t be hacked easily by cyber criminals. When doing online shopping, see to it that the site has a small lock icon located mostly at the lower right portion of the screen. Take note as well that a website is secured to do business when it starts with HTTPS:// rather than HTTP:// only.

2. Do your online shopping in a secured environment

If you intend to do some online shopping, be sure you conduct it in a secured environment like the comforts of your home. Never use a public computer or perform any online purchase in public places such as café shops, community libraries or wifi zone areas, since you are not sure about any virus or malware affecting their system. This is not a safe place for your online shopping activities.

3. Avoid sharing information anywhere

Even though inputting the needed personal details can be tiring when conducting your online shopping, avoid storing or sharing your vital information on any shopping sites servers. Remember, you don’t know exactly who are you dealing with even if it is a well-known online shopping site, so it would be safer and wiser to input any required details every time you do online shopping.

4. Make use of credit cards

Using your credit card can be more advantageous when doing online shopping because most credit card companies provide consumer protection against identity theft cases. Depending on your credit card companies’ rules on identity theft, you are assured of not being liable fully for any fraudulent transactions done within the set amount or limit agreed upon by your credit card companies and if you report the issue immediately within the 30-60 days period.

The above tips are just some of the safety measures that you can do to ensure a worry-free online shopping. Stay focus as you enter any personal or bank details that the website is asking from you. If you feel unsecured about their mode of payment or there is no consumer protection stated like the “Money back guarantee” or assurance of exchange of goods if delivered with the wrong size or color, then, there is still time to withdraw your order. Be safe and experience an enjoyable online shopping experience by keeping a watchful eye all the time. You never know when you will find a great deal of a bargain. Happy online shopping.

In continuation with our previous topic on the use of back-up for your important data, here is an additional information for you guys if you decide to avail the services of a cloud storage or to others popularly knows as “cloud computing”.

First, let us discuss what cloud storage means? Cloud storage is a type of back-up alternative wherein data and other vital information are saved and stored in the “cloud” or in an extended server other than the computer itself. In general it is an online back-up where the service is provided by a 3rd party—the Cloud Storage company who facilitates the storing and backing up of data on servers and making sure that data is readily available through the internet. Since, the provider is a 3rd party, your data can be stored anywhere and it doesn’t need to be in one area or site only.

Here are 6 advantages of the use of Cloud storage:

1. Affordable data storage packages

If you will avail the services of a Cloud storage provider, you don’t need to purchase other hardware or equipment in saving your data. This would mean more savings on your part while at the same time giving you more options of back-up plans to choose from the many affordable storage packages being presented to you. Assess your individual storage needs and from there get a subscription plan within your budget. Most of these cloud computing services even offer upgrades in events your data storage needs grow.

2. Hassle-free

Installing the software system being provided by the storage provider is hassle-free, meaning you can easily install it without any difficulty and once you have successfully set it up, no more maintenance or worries on your part. Your data or files are automatically backed-up online.

3. Quick accessibility

Data is stored anywhere, so wherever you go, you can quickly have access for your data back-up as long as there is a reliable internet connection in your particular location, since storing of data is cloud-based.

4. Availability of many cloud computing providers for your selection

In today’s digital age wherein most of us are always on the go, mobility in our work is very vital and the availability of many cloud computing providers for our selection is very helpful in the growing demands of our work. We have wider choices now because a lot of these providers are offering affordable options to their clients.

5. Wide multi-platform assistance

There are users who don’t only use Windows. Some make use of Linux or Apple and with this concern in the minds of the cloud storage services they are now giving full assistance to any of these operating systems while some even offer browser-based interfaces to guarantee that all of these platforms are supported.

6. Security

Although, there are still apprehensions about the percentage of security of these cloud storage providers, some have come up with the idea of giving added information to their clients on how to encrypt their data before they are saved in the cloud, so that clients can be safer in using this type of data back-up.

I do hope this topic helped in finalizing your decisions with regards on how you will secure your data, either with the use of this popular cloud computing service or still apply the traditional method of saving data. Weigh all the possibilities and if the benefits outnumbered the disadvantages, then, I see no point in preventing yourself from trying this latest storage alternative. Create a hassle-free environment in your freelance work or business by giving cloud computing a test drive.

Working as a freelancer for almost two years now has taught me to become extra cautious when it comes to storing my important files.

Working as a freelancer for almost two years now has taught me to become extra cautious when it comes to storing my important files. In fact with my previous experiences of having a computer bug to be the culprit of my PC’s major breakdown and left me no choice but to have an expert to reformat everything, that itself is already time consuming. The good thing was I’m lucky enough to have saved almost all my files in my hard disk.

For those individuals who are just starting a freelance career, here are 3 effective ways on how you can safeguard all your important files or data:

1. Keep a back-up for all your files

Freelancing work may require you to store large files for you clients and if you have continuous work in progress, these files pile up and you would need to secure them. Make it a habit to keep a back-up for each file or project you have. This is one solution that can help you when worst case scenarios happen like a computer virus or you accidentally deleted a batch of files that aren’t supposedly to be included.

2. Store files in the archive

This is another safety measure if you want to store your files. Data archiving can be done to files that you don’t need at the moment, but you would rather have them for quick access anytime for future use or as reference. Like any other back-up storages, archives are also prone to physical or virtual damages, so make sure to keep a back-up copy for your archives.

3. Use files synchronization

Secure your data with the use of files synchronization. This method of file security stores the latest copy of a file while at the same time giving you an access to the older version of any files you wish to retrieve. Using files synchronization in your freelance work makes it convenient because you don’t need to spend a lot of time sending each individual a copy of a file in instances you will need to share files with the other team members as well as to your client for updates of any changes you have done.

Recommendation:

Freelance work can be very challenging, especially if you have to face a computer breakdown, accidentally spilling you drink over your laptop or your child unknowingly dropped it with his/her playful mood. These events do happen beyond your control, but if you have done some preventive security measures on your files from the start, then this compelling situation would not be as stressful as it can be. There are different ways to safeguard your freelancer’s files, either you choose to keep a back-up copy all the time for all your files with the use of an external drive or perhaps you are thinking of using cloud storage, which is getting popular in today’s digital age. Remember, no matter what type of storage solution you will select, always keep yourself on guard for you will never know when a virus strikes again or a disaster hits you. Fully gear yourself with enough information and you are on your way to success as a freelancer. Keep it up…

Cultivating a strong cultural image with ties to the public is a very powerful tool in the marketing world and can build a long-standing platform for your business. These campaigns are generally on an organisations commitment to kids, families, love of a sport etc. Rarely do you find an organisation tackle anything close to controversial, after all, they’re trying to build global appeal, not take sides in a debate.

Then came McDonald’s new advertisement. In the latest TV spot, is portrays the story of a gay teen and his dad eating in at a McDonalds store. What was surprising however was that it has also been met with criticism by gay-rights groups.

Just after the Ad had started to air, McDonalds received a letter (Seen here) from the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce severing all connections to McDonalds and refusing any monetary support from McDonalds in the future.

“Blatant geographic pandering to the LGBT community… while McDonald’s has continued to distance itself from the LGBT segment in the United States.” is how the letter describes the campaign. The issue of course being that this ad is only being aired in France.

The lesson being is that any kind of marketing campaign, whether it be a cultural image push or not, she always be carefully thought out to ensure that you aren’t separating yourself from a market segment. In fact, perhaps anything that is deemed to be controversial at all, should be left right alone.

Serious marketers of businesses and companies wanting to excel in their marketing plans continue to find ways on how they could reach out effectively their target consumers. Amongst the many online marketing tools, social media has been proven to be the best method if you want to influence a bigger crowd. Some promoters prefer the use of Facebook, while others concentrate at their Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn accounts. Another social media platform that is becoming a new favorite is “Pinterest”.

If by any chance you have already heard or seen this “Pin It” word combination on some websites you have visited, but don’t know really what it is all about, here are some valuable information about “Pinterest” in general and its amazing benefits.

First, let us discuss the term “Pinterest”. It is referred to as the latest platform of social media sites wherein the user can update their intended followers and target niche with captivating videos, content creations like blogs, articles and pictures. All these topics are geared towards sharing through the use of their pin boards and pinning them.

Pinterest’s vital role as a social networking site is to allow the users to share everything they think would be interesting to other individuals.

Below are the 4 amazing benefits of Pinterest that the account users enjoy as privileges:

1. Relevant source of traffic generation

For some promoters who have opened their Pinterest accounts, they are discovering that it can actually be a relevant source of traffic generation. In fact, Pinterest which has started only in December 2011 proved in a month’s record that it contributed a big difference in the increase of website traffic to those who started using it.

2. Link building

Have you noticed some websites you have visited with the “Pin It” added to their social sharing links? Pinterest can really enhance you link building purposes by giving you the chance to include it together with other social media sites where your users can click like any other clickable links and be directed to your post or pages, thus, giving you greater business opportunities if these pinners turn out to be your new clients in the end.

3. Gain access to other social media sites

Through your Pinterest account, you also have access to other social networking sites that you are a member like Facebook or Tumblr by sharing whatever you feel might be appealing to your followers like your blogs or images. This is the best way to reach out and connect to the group and encouraging them to spread the news about your product or service through word of mouth.

4. Boost your business

Since, Pinterest allows you to advertise your business in a more creative way with the use of its virtual pinboard service, it is like a magnet drawing more onlookers to your site as you share unique photos, posts or other updates of events that might tap their interests and give them the option to repin, like or comment on any of your pins, that in a way is a good source of ideas to boost your business.

Conclusion:

For your information, getting started with Pinterest can be done through invite only, either by sending a request for invitation to the main site of Pinterest or asking a friend who is already a member to formally send you a request, which is the easiest way to get in. Once, you have been invited, the next process of signing-in and setting up your account is already easy. Remember, Pinterest is just one social site where you can focus some of your marketing efforts to attain visibility, remarkable results on your marketing plan, whether you want to increase website traffic or improve your branding awareness campaign program. The bottom line to any of these social networking sites is being able to connect to your chosen group and making them realized that there is a real person behind this account and not just a dummy. I do hope you learned some good ideas on this topic. Carry on with your online marketing plans and decide which among these social media sites you can start with. You can try Pinterest now and see how it works on your behalf.

Over the years I think personally I’ve been victim to credit card fraud twice, identity theft probably 4-5 times with accounts getting compromised, and the hacktivism group anonymous posting up my account details twice.

One of the biggest threats that a freelancer may face in his/her entire freelance career that may cause a poor rating or negative feedback score is failure to meet a deadline. We all know for a fact that aside from the quality of work, a freelancer’s success to a project is also weighed on how professional he/she is in complying with an agreed deadline.

I, being a freelancer with numerous work in progress make it a point that before accepting a new workload that the timeframe set to finish the entire project is realizable and manageable on my part. If I find the work too hard to accomplish, I will relay my concerns immediately to the employer and ask if that deadline could be compromised to a more convenient schedule, where I could produce top quality output. Aside from proper negotiation, below are some of the guidelines that can be followed on how you can avoid cramming when meeting deadlines.

1. Clarity of the deadline

Before accepting full responsibility with a project, make sure that the agreed deadline date is clear to both, the contractor and employer. Remember, most freelancers work from any parts of the globe, so there are major differences to our time zones and this matter should be discussed properly before setting a due date. Ask for the exact time at your place or at his/her place, so both of you will know exactly when is the right time the project will be done.

2. Make a list of projects handled

Keeping a detailed list o projects you have at the moment together with their preferred deadlines will make your work run smoothly and less stressful on your side. Prioritize your work according to their level of importance. Check which task needs to be done right away.

3. Follow a strict work schedule

Make it a habit to follow a strict work schedule no matter how time constraint you are at the moment. Verify all the tasks for the day as you make a head start. Set aside a “time-out” period for yourself wherein you could either have a break or provide a buffer for any unavoidable circumstances that may happen along the way like a family emergency that you have to attend to and that cannot be put on hold or a power shortage beyond your control. These unforeseen events should also be considered regardless if you are ahead of a scheduled deadline or already cramming to meet a due date.

4. Proper communication

Open-communication is always a key to the success of a project. When both parties have good communication from start to finish, for sure a desirable outcome will always be met, the freelancer being able to comply with the agreed deadline while the employer getting a good result or quality work output. Bear in mind that as a freelancer, you are accountable if you cannot meet a deadline. Notify your employer the soonest possible time you can finish the work if you are unable to submit on the preferred schedule. Compromise a timeframe wherein you can satisfy your client. Remember, if you ask for a reschedule for a project, that you have to do everything on your human power to finish the task. If you need to spend long hours in front of the computer or laptop, then do so. Your reputation as a freelancer is at stake here.

I do hope you have learned some valuable insights with the above guidelines. Before accepting a project, be sure that you have fully analyzed the estimated time you will need to finish the work. If you think the required deadline is totally unrealistic on your part, site your concerns to your employer and explain why you need to spend more time doing that project. Knowing where you can work effectively and give the best output should be your top priority as a freelancer. Carry on with your freelancing activities.

One of your main concerns when creating a website is choosing an appropriate domain name that would represent your company as a whole. Take note that most online users, the first thing that they seem to notice for a particular website is its domain name, so it is a must to select a good domain name if you want your users to remember you instantly.

But, how can you effectively select the right domain name for your website? Well, here are some pointers to consider:

1. Use your company name

Some website owners who want to be on the safe side try using their company’s name as their domain name to acquire a true and unique identity among other websites. In fact, if your company is more concerned in gaining recognition and increasing your brand awareness campaign, then, using your company’s name is the wisest choice ever for a domain name.

2. Include your location name

To website owners who desire to perform better in their marketing strategies, try to include their location name in the domain, especially if their name is also similar to other websites. Adding your location name simply sets a distinction from the other competitors. Putting your location name also gives your online users quick access to your website without any difficulty, since they can easily locate your website through SEO results.

3. Select a domain name with generic words

If your company’s goal is to attract more online visitors back to your site, then, it is essential to select a domain name with generic words associated to the product or service you are situated in the market you want to become popular. If possible, combine two to three generic words combination that can be easily remembered. Doing this would give your more opportunities of getting recognized, thus, eventually leading to traffic generation and higher sales in the end.

Top Advice:

Choosing a domain name requires careful analysis, thorough research and surveys before finalizing your chosen domain name for your website. If you decide to make use of generic names, be sure to check if it is a good one and still available. Try combining other combinations to prevent getting similar domain names as with other website owners. Remember, once you have purchased your domain name you don’t have any access to exchange it, so give a fair thinking what domain name you want to buy or else you just have to do with it or purchase another new domain name. Having an appropriate domain name could bring more business growth to your site. Take your time and invest in a good domain name that would set you above from your rivals.

Any business whether small or big started out with a plan in the minds of their owners and in most cases a written outline of the steps needed are followed or carried out for the business to run smoothly. Having a detailed business plan by your side will help you work effectively in achieving your business goals. For sure no business owner or partners would want to run a business in chaotic state or no direction at all.

For you to fully understand the proper creation of a business plan, here are the 5 main components that you have to consider:

1. Business Idea

Determine what type of business you want to engage with, service or product related. Find out who will be your target consumers, how you will sell your business and assess if your intended business poses a real potential in the industry you want to concentrate.

2. Capital Investment

In any business, money plays a vital role for a business to run. At this point of time, an entrepreneur must analyze first his/her current financial capabilities to start a business or further expand an existing business. If you have enough capital resources and can afford to get a financial adviser, hire one for your financial security. He/she will professionally guide you in allocating your capital investment or advice you if you still need to file an additional loan. If you are on a tight budget, make your own list of possible expenses like rental, furniture or fixture, wages, utilities and permits you need to settle before opening your business.

3. Financial Forecast

Make a forecast report of what would be your possible sales in the first few months or quarter in running the business, your profits or ROI (return on investment) and the entire cash flow that will take place like the fixed expenses that you will incur such as rental if you are going to rent a space and the wages of your hired staff. Remember, there are instances that a start-up business will just either make or break with its first few months earnings, so be prepared to have enough resources to fill-in those months when earnings are lesser than expected.

4. Business information

Any business should have a proper record of when the business started, who are the owners and co-owners if it is a corporation or partnership type of business. Be sure that you comply with all the requirements under the business sector for you to operate legally.

5. Other business requisites

Note as well the other business requisites you need to attend in order to ensure your security while running your business like filing those documents related to patent issues, prototypes and other contracts needed to sign to declare your ownership of rights for any product or service offered under your business name. This move is also for your protection in the long run when somebody else tries to copy or duplicate your business.

Making a business plan requires gathering of relevant facts, surveys and other information that would be helpful to the business you have in mind and putting everything into writing for your future reference. Your business plan must have your main objective and your actions or procedures on how you can achieve all those goals with your current capital.

Create a business plan that is clear, precise and easy to read for your business partners or creditors to easily grasp what are your needs and potential capabilities in running that particular business and give their go signal to pursue the business or lend you the needed capital resources.

Learning to manage time properly is of great importance when situations like these occur, especially if you have a project that requires completion even while on vacation.

Here are some helpful tips that you can apply while spending a holiday and finishing a work deadline at the same time:

1. Gear yourself with the needed work materials and tools

If you will be travelling, then, it would be appropriate to properly gear yourself with all the needed gadgets, tools and other work materials that will allow you to do your freelance work while on holiday. Laptops, portable modem for internet connection especially if you are not sure if there is wifi connection in the area you are going, memory stick and other helpful tools must be included in your list of what to bring.

2. Schedule your working hours from holiday activities

Managing your time could help do more productive hours for work and play. Set a schedule of the activities you need to do in a day. Following a detailed list of what needs to be done will provide you more time to enjoy your holiday. If you need to do some work, find the best time when you can do it like when all the children are in bed exhausted from a day’s outing or getting up early the next day to catch up with work and have the remaining hours of the day for pure relaxation.

3. Find an appropriate working area

Finding an ideal workplace while on a holiday trip can be very challenging, especially if the environment is too inviting to just relax or have a dip in the pool. Find a quiet part of the place where you can focus on your work. If your hotel room has a balcony, then when everyone is out, confine yourself there and do as much work as you can without any disturbance while at the same time enjoying the fresh breeze or wonderful view.

4. Limit other forms of distraction

Since you are on a vacation, you cannot help if sometimes your surroundings isn’t too conducive for your concentration when doing work like children playing around or passersby if you intend to work in the hotel visitor’s lounge area. Arm yourself with a pair of quality earphones to lessen the noise and select a corner place to avoid getting distracted.

5. Have fun

Don’t forget that your main reason for going on a holiday is to have fun and relax yourself. Don’t stress yourself with the deadline. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the place and the chance to be with your loved ones. There is a time for everything, but at for now, you just need to relax and have fun even for an hour or two everyday while on leave, then, later continue whatever work that needs to be done. Proper allocation of your hours for all the activities in a day is important to make the most of your holiday.

Managing freelance work while on a holiday is really challenging, but if you are really determined to have fun even there is a rush work that cannot be put on hold, then, be prepared to make all the necessary adjustments. Keep in mind that your main reason for the holiday is to unwind and have quality time for yourself and your loved ones. Everything will be accomplished with a happy mood feeling. Energize yourself with the needed rest.
