What is The Best Time To Post? #Infographic
A question that always goes through my mind when it comes to Social Media is ‘What is the best time to post?’. I start thinking about the geographical regions of our readers (or customers in my other pursuits), whether or not they’re up at the time, are the posts just going to be lost in the rush of lunchtime posts?
Luckily for us, the bulk of our readers are actually from the fast growing Australian Freelancer community, so I know that I at as long as I’m up, chances are they will also
I did however wonder, now that I know where my readers are, when is the best time for the posts to be read? Well lucky for me, Bit.ly and RakaCreative already answered this question for me.

This is incredibly useful information, I had kind of always wondered about this and most people told me it didn’t really matter. I knew that was just a cop out of an answer! I had kind of thought 6-8PM would be more popular of a time, since people would be back home from work. According to your info graphic though, I’m wrong! Great post, thank you!

Another of your articles that go to my favorites. I have a personal blog and I always wonder what is the ideal time to advertise the links on my Facebook or Twitter. There are many different alternatives, but all agree on the day Wednesday. Like, I think every country has its peculiarities. I do not think the same dynamic compliance in Europe or South America. Thanks for sharing information in this style, always find a use.

I always enjoy reading your articles Admin, lots of visuals and informative facts.
I do try to focus on more click-throughs most of the time so this will really help me out with my posting times on Facebook.

Thanks for this article. Recently in the past I have been making my twitter post in the early morning before I start working on my main assignments. I did not stop to think that this variable could be affecting the click through rate of my posts.
I am now going to revamp my posting schedule to make sure that the majority of my posts, with offers in them, are done in the early afternoons Mon-Thurs. Thanks again for this valuable information.

This is very interesting. I actually would have thought evenings were more ideal, for my blog anyway, because people are home from work and that is when I assume they check their social networks. However, I will take this into consideration and see how it affects my traffic over the next few days. Thank you for the information!

Oh wow! I dont have a blog or anything but I do post my personal photograph I’ve taken over the weekend. I normally post during the evenings thinking that it’s peak time.
But after going through your info-graph, I think I might have to rethink my posting times to get maximum exposure. Thanks for this informative info-graph.

Seriously, that is the BEST article you have done so far. I have been asking myself what time I should publish to have the more readers. Aidan, you are a precious help

Fascinating how different the answers are for Twitter and Facebook
I have used tweriod to get similar information but specifically for my Twitter followers – which helps with different time zones (my 1pm is not 1pm for all my followers). It does help to have an idea of when to post things rather than just randomly shove stuff out there
I do think, however, that the ideal time to post will vary according to your audience – a business audience will see tweets/updates at different times to other audiences.

Very interesting information on when it is best to post. I don’t use twitter, but the information for facebook is definitely something I will be remembering for the future.

Wow what a great, informative article! I have always wondered when the bulk of readers were reading my posts and this will help me time my releases better, I don’t want to “double” release to the same audience.

Useful information. It’s not something you’d really think about unless it’s put in front of you as a matter of fact. I thought people just do what they do, any time that’s convenient, it’s the world-wide-web after all. But there’s a science behind all things!

Wow. I am definitely bookmarking this post for future reference. I really find it very useful for absolutely any type of online business. I have been trying to find out how to drive traffic to my blogs and having a schedule of when most people are likely to read my posts is a golden start! Thanks for the article.

This is some great info. Trying to get people to see your posts on Facebook is like puling teeth. I know my feed is constantly updating since I have over 600 friends and I’m following close to 200 fan pages. Knowing when most people are on is a great way to break out of the crowd and get your posts seen. Now if you can make a post about the best time to send an email, I would appreciate it.

What a wonderful piece of information. I have linked my blog to twitter and Facebook and I often update my blog fan page mostly at night(because that’s when I am mostly free). I just didn’t know that this is not a very good time to get more traffic. I will definitely change my posting times and see how it goes.

Great info. Thank you very much for this. I came to your blog today. And realize this is an awesome blog. And bookmarked.
Thanks again..

This is some fantastic information. Love the way the infographic is laid out. Actually, i’d like a bit more information on the way you make these infographics, because they look fantastic!
Re – the post, I don’t know how useful this information is. Aren’t most people targeting a specific demographic? How do you then find information relating to that demographic? Nevertheless, the idea that timing will effect readership is a really important thing to point out!

That’s an awesome infographic. I had no clue. I have often asked the question when is the best time to send an email to my opt-in list, and gotten endless different answers from different marketers. I have just started occasionally marketing using twitter and facebook and am going to write down this info right now. Thanks.

This information is very useful and helpful, but it doesn’t give a time zone. Does it just mean locally, or should i just assume EST? In any case, I was wondering about this and it’s great to know what time to post so more people see what I want them to see.

Thank you so much for such a great information. I never thought that posting as a particular time would make such huge difference. I really like the presentation that you attached. I am surely book marking this page for my future reference. Thanks once again.

This information is undeniably very important. Internet marketers can maximize the results of their efforts by understanding the proper timing and integrating this timing into their posting initiatives. Thus, marketers can avoid wasting their resources when they post at a time with less traffic.

Some fantastic information here, interesting to see that the best click through rate is in the afternoon on a weekday!
That has to be people bored at work in the office surely?
Would be interesting to see what the sales figures are for the times, as I can’t see people who are bored at work actually purchasing much.

I got a little bit of a chuckle out of this to see user activity on social media sites that active during work hours. I was a bit surprised to see it be so flat on Fridays. If anything I would have guessed that by the end of a work week, peoples minds would start wandering, they’d be thinking about their plans for the weekend, etc.
TashWordSeptember 3, 2012 at 7:11 pm
ohiotom76, maybe people are just thinking “I have to get this done before I can leave so let’s focus and finish ASAP” on Fridays

I too had doubts when I wanted to know when I need to post in my various business accounts in various social media platforms. But looking at your infographic it seems that most people are making the posts during the work hours. But how is that even possible? I was under the impression that most companies shall have banned social media websites in their campus, and the network administrators shall have seen to that.
How is that possible then?
